Player Ratings
Birmingham

Bennett - Can't be faulted for any of the goals, and otherwise sound.

Johnson - Struggled against Kewell, though the Australian did dive to get him booked.

Clapham - Not overly involved, but good clearance off the line.

Upson - Not at his best, and worringly had to be replaced by Tebily after sustaining an injury.

Cunningham - Far from his best, though harshly treated in penalty decision.

Dunn - Started fairly well, but soon faded out of the game. Needs to get his form back.

Lazaridis - Promising opening half hour against Diao, but needs to have more confidence in his own ability to really provide the goods.

Savage - Not too bad, but nothing spectacular. His usual self, but overpowered by Gerrard.

Clemence - Very disappointing, and at fault for both Kewell and Heskey strikes.

Dugarry - Lots of flicks with few coming off, but still a threat when they did come off.

Forssell - Quiet apart from the goal, which is fine by Blues fans.

SUBS:

Tebily - Difficult, but did well, and tried to make inroads as an attacking centre half, as only he can.

Morrison - Put himself about fairly well, but he always will against Liverpool.

Kirovski - New hairstyle might make him look like Robert Pires, but he's got a way to go before he plays like him.

Subs Not Used: Vaesen, Cisse.
