Player Ratings

Taylor
- Some fine saves, but still some poor distribution.

Melchiot - A quieter game than usual, but still sound.

Gray - Defended well and some excellent moments going forward.

Upson - Edgy at times, but played a key role in the goal and defensively late on.

Cunningham - Excellent display with some fine blocks and tackles.

Johnson - Nothing spectacular and nothing too bad. Just alright.

Gronkjaer - Not really his day, and confidence drained before being taken off.

Savage - Again, quieter than usual, but certainly better than last week.

Clemence - Did ok, but just lacks the vision that he probably needs in the middle.

Izzet - In and out of the game, possibly feeling his way back to fitness and after knock with Kirkland.

Heskey - Didn't get much change out of Hyypia, but will have enjoyed his return.

SUBS:

Anderton - Got the goal and showed experience late on.

Lazaridis - Never really got into the game.

Clapham - Thrown on late on to sure up midfield.
