Man City

Taylor
- Had no chance with the goal, and sound handling after that.

Kenna - His most comfortable game since returning, capped with a rare goal.

Lazaridis - Possibly at fault for City's goal, but otherwise sound, and good offensively.

Upson - Solid as you'd expect, and never really troubled.

Cunningham - Much the same as Upson, and competed well with Anelka.

Johnson - Excellent once again, and having a great all-round season.

Dunn - Quiet start, but got more instrumental, before limping off.

Savage - Inspired the victory with a magnificent all-round performance and some great set-pieces.

Clemence - Quiet, but did job effectively, apart from mis-timing every tackle he attempted.

Forssell - Not overly impressive, but still a threat, and got that crucial goal - however luckily!

Morrison - Needs confidence, and the home crowd are often on his back too early.

SUBS:
John - Held the ball up better than Morrison, but still could do more effort-wise.

Kirovski - Left-wing will never be his favourite position, but competed well.

Cisse - Only used to waste time, and touched the ball once... but it was an excellent header back to Taylor.
