- Getting worse by the game.

Melchiot - Uncharacteristic errors.

Tebily - Humiliated by Bellamy and eventually withdrawn.

Upson - Made some important intervantions.

Cunningham - Struggled to cope with errors being made around him.

Johnson - Not at his best, but improved when he went into the middle later on.

Lazaridis - Again, not at his best, but coped better with Bellamy.

Carter - Some decent moments and possibly unlucky to be brought off.

Savage - Generally quiet but tried hard.

Morrison - Needs to get back to working and not whinging.

Heskey - Another impressive display despite picking up a knock.

SUBS:
Gray - Clearly talented, but clearly doesn't have a a footballing brain.

Anderton - Decent influence.

Yorke - Couldn't get involved.
