Player Ratings

Taylor
- One great double save but kicking woeful - again!.

Melchiot - Got better as the game progressed, especially going forwards.

Clapham - Not one of his better games but he wasn't alone in that respect.

Upson - Defensively superb but too much hoof ball.

Cunningham - Steady, as always.

Pennant - Didn't see enough of the ball in the opening period but a threat after the break.

Nafti - Did ok but surprisingly subbed.

Johnson - Anonymous first half, a little better in the second.

Lazaridis - Subdued and didn't do enough to test Pompey's stand-in right back - Aliou Cisse!

Pandiani - Tried hard from poor service.

Heskey - Won everything in the air but to little effect.

SUBS:
Carter
- Didn't improve things at all.

Gray - Same as last week .. and the week before .. needs to work harder and show some guts.

Morrison - Never a threat.

SUBS NOT USED: Vaesen, Blake.
