Taylor - Couldn't be faulted for goals, and sound handling, if a little nervous with one or two high balls.

Tebily - Total mixed bag, including moments of stupidity and moments of excellence.

Kenna - Relatively composed at left-back, which after all is still out of position for him.

Purse - Not at his best again, and nearly put through his own net in bizarre fashion.

Cunningham - Very good performance, and stayed composed when others around him were struggling.

Johnson - Kept going and never hid despite poor performance.

Hughes - Was invisible in the first half, but became more involved as Blues pushed on for goals.

Savage - Generally quieter than would be expected, but still did a good job - especially in the first half when someone had to.

Clemence - Difficult game to come into after lay-off, but coped reasonably well.

Forssell - Excellent display, especially in the second half when he terrorised Dublin.

Dugarry - Still not back to his best, and perhaps shouldn't have been started, though no doubt the fact that he winds people up was in Bruce's mind.

SUBS:

Dunn - Magnificent after coming on, and although he tired, deserves tremendous credit.

Morrison - Like Dunn, was the reason behind the comeback, and deserved to stay in the starting eleven.

John - He's not everyone's cup of tea, but let's face it, in the mould of Geoff Horsfield, he scores some important goals.

Subs Not Used: Bennett, Martin Taylor.
