Player Ratings Vs Portsmouth (a)

Last updated : 19 September 2005 By Brian Cartlidge

Taylor - May have done better for the Pompey goal but two good saves late on kept Blues in the game.

Tebily - Terrible first half a little better in the second.

Gray - Not a left back - unproductive when switched to the wing.

Upson - Defensively sound.

Cunningham - Played well.

Pennant - Best player on the pitch.

Butt - Was playing well before being sent off.

Jarosik
- Another eye-catching performance albeit only for one half.

Johnson - Workmanlike as always.

Heskey - Toiled with little effect.

Forssell - Only played for 45 minutes and never threatened.

SUBS:
Izzett
- Best ever performance in a Blues shirt?

Pandiani - Sent on just to run the clock down.

Clapham - Did ok.

SUBS NOT USED: Vaesen, Martin Taylor.
