Bruce's View: Chelsea (a)

Blues had led through Walter Pandiani's strike on 65 minutes and despite Chelsea piling on the pressure in the latter stages looked likely to become the first side this season to leave Stamford Bridge with maximum points before Didier Drogba's late equaliser for the home side.

"With eight minutes to go and 1-0 up I was thinking 'Could it be our day?'

"But it was not to be. It was a good time to play Chelsea but it was a terrific performance by us and we thoroughly deserved a draw.

"They're a class act and will be worthy champions and I'll be rooting for them against Bayern Munich.

"It would have been special to win, but I'm happy with the point."
