Bruce's View: Hull City

Last updated : 10 September 2006 By Brian Cartlidge

Dudley Campbell had given Blues a first half lead and when Nicklas Bendtner doubled their advantage in the second half there looked to be only one winner.

However, Blues became complacent, Hull pulled a goal back and they were subjected to a late attacking onslaught from the visitors.

"Towards the end of the game we got edgy and sloppy after controlling the game and never looking in any danger," Bruce said after the 2-1 victory.

"We took our foot off the gas and conceded a horrible goal and once that went in everyone was edgy, but we have got through the game.

"We will learn from this and I am sure we will get better."
