Bruce's View: Man City (a)

The Blues boss felt that the game turned in favour of City in the 54th minute when immediately after having a Clinton Morrison goal ruled out for offside, City luckily took the lead when Robbie Fowler's 55th minute header stuck the upright and rebound into the net off Blues keeper Maik Taylor's body.

"There has to be daylight between the players and the benefit of the doubt is supposed to go to the striker," Bruce said of the disallowed goal.

"I have seen it again on television and there is no way Clinton was offside.

"It changed the game as within a minute City scored when Robbie Fowler's header went in off our keeper and that summed up our night.

"I thought we were decent until then and people will look at 3-0, but that scoreline was cruel and flatters City."
