"We always had the threat of McSheffrey and Bendtner and that always gives you a chance," the Blues boss said after the 3-1 win at St Andrew's. "With McSheffrey getting his 12th goal of the season he proved he has been a great acquisition for us since I signed him from Coventry. "He is a talented player and there is no doubt that he could do it in the Premiership because he is a strong little player and a fine finisher. "To score a hat-trick was a fine achievement and there was never any doubt who would take the late penalty. "There were players who produced their worst performances of the season but we got away with it against a side challenging for a top spot."
