Bruce's View: West Brom

A Robbie Savage penalty followed by goals from strike force Clinton Morrison and Emile Heskey, all in the first 30 minutes of the local derby at St Andrew's, gave Blues an unassailable lead against a West Brom side who on this showing are staring the Coca-Cola League right in the face.

"We started really well and that gave us the springboard for the win, the Blues boss siad after the 4-0 win against Bryan Robson's side.

"They couldn't handle big Emile Heskey, while the return to fitness of Clinton Morrison and David Dunn has been a major boost for us.

"We need Dunny to stay fit. We've lost him for the best part of a year and also Mikael Forssell for eight months. That is tough on a club like us.''

On his former Manchester United team-mate Bryan Robson's task at the Hawthorns Bruce added: "Obviously, Bryan has a big job on his hands but he has the resilience to come out on top."
