McLeish's View: Burnley (h)

The visitors deservedly took a second minute lead at St Andrews and could quite easily have trebled their lead in a first half in which Blues were extremely sluggish, to say the least.

However, a second half Kevin Phillips equaliser earned Blues a share-of-the spoils.

"We began very slowly and appeared to be in a trance, it beggars belief," McLeish said after the 1-1 draw at St Andrews.

"Burnley, to their credit, got out of the blocks very quickly.

"We looked extremely vulnerable and it was almost as if they were saying to Burnley 'hurry up and score'. It was an amazing first half.

"Our second half performance was much better."
