Blues did, however, leave Nottingham with a share-of-the spoils although Forest created far more chance's after a second-half header from James Perch equalised James McFadden's 13th minute goal for Blues.

"I didn't think we really dealt well enough with the game at all," the Blues boss told Sky Sports News after the 1-1 draw.

"We've had a lot of disruptions but I'm not making excuses because it was a very poor performance after we scored the goal.

"When they scored just after half-time there was still plenty of time for us to get back on top but nothing happened.

"Forest had the best chance's to win the game.

"I'm gutted for the Blues fans that travelled to the match because they gave us some tremendous support today."
