Managerless Rangers took maximum points from the game courtesy of a stunning strike from Samuel Di Carmine nine minutes into the second half when the hosts were down to men after Mikele Leigertwood had been sent off on the stroke of half-time for a high tackle on Lee Carsley.

"It was a great start, we looked dangerous in the first half but I am very disappointed with the second half performance," the Blues boss said after the match at Loftus Road.

"I'm disappointed we didn't put more pressure on them with 10 men but they had a bit of a cause after that, no doubt about it.

"The disappointment for me was the performance level.

"I can take a defeat but we had too many players off the boil in this match.

"Our fans will be going home raging and the players are very disappointed too."
